Vixen bassist opens up about making it big in Brazil and moving to Los Angeles

Bassist, vocalist and songwriter Julia Lage rose to international fame as a member of Barra Da Saia, a Brazilian group known for mixing traditional music from their country with rock and other influences. After more than a decade with that Latin Grammy nominated band, Julia relocated to Los Angeles, where she’s gone on to work with musicians like Pat Travers, Elliot Easton of The Cars, and Richie Kotzen. These days, she’s a member of the rock bands Vixen and Smith/Kotzen.
