Florida Georgia Line bassist on influences, investment and an increasing fan base

Tom Beaupre is a man with two music careers. He’s no doubt best known as the touring bassist for Florida Georgia Line. That’s a position he’s held with them since 2010, long enough for him to be part of the meteoric rise the country-pop group experienced following the 2012 release of their 11-times platinum-certified song “Cruise.”

Beyond that, however, Beaupre also works in the field of music finance. As President of Musician-Artist Relations with Lansdowne Private Wealth Management Group, he advises others in the music industry on how to make sound investments with their money.

FBPO’s Jon Liebman recently had the opportunity to sit down with Beaupre during an FGL visit to DTE Energy Music Theatre in Clarkston, Michigan. Their discussion delved into influences like Adam Blackstone and Christian McBride, FGL’s rise to fame, his investment advisor work and how to have fun while learning the bass.
