Born in Montreal, Canada, Kaveh Rastegar is a Grammy-nominated electric and upright bass player. He has performed and/or recorded with Bruno Mars, Cee Lo Green, Kimbra, The Ditty Bops, Colin Hay, Beck, Nels Cline and countless others. Kaveh’s resume also includes working as bassist and musical director for Australian singer/songwriter/producer Sia and, since 2014, bassist for R&B and soul crooner John Legend.
FBPO’s Jon Liebman and Kaveh recently sat down for a spirited conversation in Rastegar’s home studio in Los Angeles.
