Philly session bassist on going from U.S. cybercrimes chief to working with Duck Dunn and the Cranberries

Yoseph Elkaim is an interesting fellow, to say the least. A Philly native and the son of a Moroccan immigrant, he’s had a career that spans both music and work in the intelligence community. As a bassist, Elkaim has traveled an eclectic path, collaborating with well-known musicians and artists from many genres, including Bob James, Vanessa Williams, Bryan Adams, Duck Dunn, Diana Krall, and The Cranberries. Beyond that, he’s also worked as a lawyer, banker, and the chief of intelligence of cybercrimes for the U.S. Department of Defense. To this day, Elkaim continues to be a prolific author and lecturer on intelligence issues.
